Who Is Sweet Susie

Hi there! 

I’m Susan Kacsits, the hands behind Sweet Susie’s Hot Chocolate Bombs! I’m located in Hudsonville, MI. I have always had a heart for crafting. I have three adult daughters, and most of their fondest memories are of our afternoons spent crafting together in the kitchen. My other crafting love is my embroidery business called Threads of Praise, which has been my passion project since the 90’s. When I’m not in my office stitching, I now find myself in the kitchen making hot chocolate bombs.

In my down time, I enjoy going to concerts with my friend, Sheryl. I am an avid iced tea drinker, a competitive air hockey player, and am convinced I should live in the Downton Abbey house. A perfect day for me is spent relaxing with my husband, John, and loving on my grandchildren, Barrick, Adeline, and Edison. My family is all over the country now, but we stay close through our shared crafting adventures.

The name Sweet Susie’s comes from my Grandma Anne, who gave me that nickname when I was a little girl. When my daughters and I brainstormed names for my hot chocolate bomb business, my oldest daughter, Olivia, immediately recalled the memory of Grandma Anne’s stories and Sweet Susie’s felt just right.
